Ya wanna know what I think? |
I think this is the absolute coolest site on the internet!
I spent the day flat on my back, full of pain killers, and just watched show after show after show right here on this site! (after spending 3 hours straight watching Dark Shadows).
I went to see my doctor this morning because the pain in my back was absolutely unbearable. I have a "something something hyper-extended lumbar something" so most of today was spent in Vicodin-land.
I spent the weekend doing my level best to fill up my 1TB external hard drive, and only managed to put a 200 GB dent in it. Oh well... I'll just have to try harder next weekend. I started on the last page of "Classic TV" and worked my way up to page 18. I downloaded pretty much everything but The Andy Griffith show. Other than Happy Days, that show annoys me like no other.
I watch several episodes of "The Lucy Show" and boy did that bring back tons of memories! That used to be my favorite sitcom as a kid. It still makes me laugh out loud. I loved the "Lucy meets John Wayne" episode. That has to be my favorite of all.
My next "geek attack" will be purchasing an S-Video cable so I can hook the ol' laptop up to the TV so hubby can watch some of this stuff too without me burning everything to DVD.
And that's what I've been up to... what about you all?

Re: Ya wanna know what I think? |
I do have Comcast, and thanks for bringing this up! We're probably not going to have it for long, as we're getting less and less interested in television... thus me downloading like I've lost my mind.
I should have been outside this weekend, since this is the best weather we've had since what? Last September? But no... I'm flat on my back.
I do appreciate the heads up!

Re: Ya wanna know what I think? |
I am also interested in "real" TV less and less. I get quite annoyed when my wife puts re-runs of "Friends" on because that's half an hour that we could be using watching some of the "Suspense" episodes that I haven't seen yet. There's enough quality programming here to do away with commercial television altogether. So many great things, so little time...
